Asking around, someone will point you in the direction of the camp boss, in the Northern camp across a small stream. It turns into a trial of bloody footprints, so head up Northwest and follow the clues until you reach a Charcoal Burners camp. The chest has a very hard lock so you might not be able to get anything out of it (it contains some fancy merchant clothes and swords) - but note the blood nearby. If you already knew this, you’ll need to head to Rovna, and take the path North past the church into the forests.Īt the first big intersection, you’ll find what you’re looking for: A busted wagon, two dead bodies, a locked chest, and a whole lot of blood. As it happens, this is the very place that the merchant Menhart was going to meet the bandit. He’ll be reluctant at first, but eventually tell you that the knight - no known name - demanded to know where a crossroads was in the forest just past Rovna. Head to the inn, and speak to the innkeeper about the knight. If the only intel you were given was the letter, the only clue that you’ll have is the mysterious German knight that’s been seen hanging around the inn outside of the Sasau Monastery.
